After 20 years the project “Grappa d’Artista” goes back to its origins with a ceramic made by Giorgio Celiberti, the artist with whom the idea of creating works of art to match the noble distillate of Friuli’s tradition was born.
About Celiberti, internationally renowned artist, we just say that, without any doubts, he represents the highest expression of contemporary art in Friuli.

“Spiritual”, the work he’s realized for the Pagura distillery, will be presented to the public on 19th November 2016, the day of the artist’s 87th birthday. To pay homage to the master on this special day we wanted to gather for the event some prestigious people from the region.

It will be the writer Paolo Maurensig to present the work of art realized by master Celiberti, the chef Antonia Klugmann (chef of the year in the Espresso guide for Italian restaurants) will dedicate one of her dishes to him and the pianist Glauco Venier, with the singer Alba Nocinovih, will give the premiere of the concert “Suite for Giorgio.”

In this occasion there will be an exhibition with some of his most representative works at the Pagura Distillery
Special thanks are due to master ceramist Cesare Sartori, who masterfully reproduced the work of art in 200 copies, different in colours and size, that will be all signed by master Celiberti making them unique pieces.

The event at Pagura Distillery will be open by invitation only.

The third edition of the Great Spirit Award, comedy competition that takes place in the wineries and distilleries around Pordenone, instead of remaining only in theaters, will end on Friday 25 November at 21.00 in the Pagura’s Distillery. There will be three preliminary rounds in the 2016 edition.
The first, “Furlans di Spirito”, will be held in Pitars’s winery in San Martino al Tagliamento and will be reserved for works in Friulian language. In this event you can see the shows of the Teatro Incerto, I Trigemius, and the company El Tendon.
The second, “Donne di Spirito”, reserved for female comedy, will host Goldini Giorgia, Laura Formenti and Harmony at the winery I Magredi Domanins.
The third and final preliminary phase “Uomini di Spirito” reserved for male comedy, will be held at the Agri Resort Gelindo dei Magredi and you will see the performance of Eta Beta Theatre, the Chions Dream Men and Manuele Laghi
It will be the public, with its vote, to choose a finalist for each round that will compete for the final prize of the third “Gran Premio dello Spirito”.

On 30th October the Pagura Distillery will be full of autumn colours and flavours with the traditional Party “Delizie d’Autunno” (delicatessen of autumn) which will propose a rich menu with wines and traditional dishes, prepared and served by local producers.
You will be able to try cheeses, different kinds of salami, meat, seasonal soups and risotto, pumpkin-based dishes, desserts and a very rich selection of wines and homemade beers.
You’ll be able to enjoy shows from 11.00 to 21.00 with traditional music and dances, circus shows, entertainment for kids.
Obviously grappa won’t be missing. It will be served with original matchings.

Christian Ludwig Attersee will be the creator of Grappa d’Artista 2016.

The artist from Vienna, one of the highest expressions of contemporary Austrian awarded

Austrian Cross of Honour first class for science and art, backed by more than 500 solo shows that he was the protagonist in many European countries and the United States, has developed a new ceramic that will enrich the precious collection It made over the years by Distillery Pagura.

On the occasion of the presentation of the work, it will also be an exhibition with his most recent pictorial productions, which will be illustrated and presented by the critic and curator of many important exhibitions of contemporary art, Marco Minuz.

Since this is an event tied to the valuation of one of the most beloved local produce the event will result in a convivial moment with the excellence of the territory.

Here is a magnificent collection of grappas and liqueurs prepared for the “alpini” and persons with similar perceptions of life, and who love simple and natural things.

Nocino, Liquirizia, Mirtillo, Aged Grappa and Refosco Grappa: with the official Alpini gathering’s logo, and the words “I was there” emphasized.

All the grappas are available at the Pagura stand in Piazza XX Settembre – Pordenone, and also at the distillery in Castions, which is always open to visitors during the days on which the gathering takes place.

Pagura Distillery is proud to announce that the official grappa of the 87th Alpine Corps National Muster in Pordenone in 2014 is now available for purchase.

In the bottle, finely decorated, you will recognise the flavours of Friuli Venezia Giulia in a high-quality grappa, made exclusivelyfrom Cabernet pomace from the Friulian area of “Grave”. The grappa would make a nice souvenir for any guest coming to our Province.

The grappa was unveiled on January 14th in our distillery, with the organisers of the Muster, representatives of the Alpine Corps of the Province of Pordenone, representatives of some municipalities and representatives of the Province in attendance.

For this important event, we prepared two different bottles:

  • Grappa dell’Alpino, 0.2 litres of high quality 45% grappa from Cabernet, € 15. For members of the Alpine Corps buying at least 20 bottles before April, the price per bottle is only € 12.

  • Grappa Magnum, 1.5 litres of high quality 45% grappa from Cabernet, € 27.

If you buy the grappa before April, we will offer you a personalised bottle including your name or that of your Alpine Corps unit or shop/restaurant.

During the Muster in Pordenone, our distillery will have a stand where all our products will be available.

Pagura distillery will have a stand at the Cucinare trade fair in Pordenone. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste our delicious grappas combined with special delicacies such as chocolate, blueberry ice cream or liquorice sorbet.

 

On Saturday March 22nd from 7.00 to 8.00 pm, visitors will also have the opportunity to attend a “Grappa e canzoni” (grappa and songs) tasting show (free of charge, booking required), where they can enjoy Grappa Pagura Band’s live performance and taste our best products.
